Sylvie Cournoyer has been interested in health and health care for several years and has worked in this domain since 2004 as a massage therapist. A graduate in psychocorporal massage from l’Institut Guijek de Montréal, she is also certified in related areas such as reflexology, fascial therapy, craniosacral therapy, Yoga-Thai massage, massage for pregnant women, and chair massage. Massage sessions with Sylvie are personalized and tailored according to the individual’s need. She is a firm believer in the capacity of self-healing and her utmost desire is to bring awareness of, and insight to, wellness and well being using a holistic approach.
Practicing yoga intermittently since 2001, she undertook a Teacher Training Course in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga at the beginner and intermediate levels at Yoga Sangha in Montreal in 2011. She also received her certificate in Yin yoga from HappyTree Yoga in 2013. Sylvie continues to look at the different facets of yoga and likes to say that she is a perpetual student! Her teaching is a mixture of the art of yoga in the traditional form consisting of pranayama (yogic breathing exercises), mudra (sacred gestures) and asanas (poses). With her knowledge of the body she is able to customize her courses so that each student finds his/her place.
Sylvie Cournoyer is a certified Yoga instructor in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Adapted Yoga and a member of the International Federation of Yoga. She is a massage therapist graduating from Guijek Institute in 2004.
